Tourette Syndrome
Tourette syndrome is a neurological disorder characterized by repetitive, involuntary movements or vocalizations (tics) that can’t be easily controlled.
The early symptoms of Tourette syndrome are typically noticed first in childhood, with the average onset between the ages of 3 and 9 years
Although there’s no cure for Tourette syndrome, treatments are available. Many people with Tourette syndrome don’t need treatment when symptoms aren’t troublesome. Tics often lessen or become controlled after the teen years.
